IRVINE E. MILLIE, CPA, FCA
Born April 24, 1924 to John Millie and Beatrice Foreman, eldest brother of Grace, Gwen, Ena, Anne, Don, Sheila, Larry, Ted and Brenda, Irv died January 25, 2018 in Toronto. Raised in Glassville, NB, he married Edna Martin in 1949. Irv achieved the Gold medal in New Brunswick and the Bronze in Canada in the Chartered Accountants national exams, and went on to teach at Dalhousie University. He subsequently joined KPMG predecessor firm Peat Marwick Mitchell as a partner, travelling across Canada to recruit a generation of future CPAs. Irv and Edna were long-time residents of Don Mills, Toronto, where they raised their three daughters, and where Irv was a keen golfer and curler. Irv is survived by Edna; their daughters, Marilyn, Joanne and Lori; 5 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
