Wharton Cemetery (aka Upper Kent Cemetery), Upper Kent, Carleton County, New Brunswick, Canada

Upper Kent is located on East side of the St. John River, 4.25 km WNW of Beechwood, on the road to Muniac: Kent Parish, Carleton County: PO from 1852: in 1866 it was a farming settlement with about 50 resident families: in 1871 Upper Kent had a population of about 250: in 1898 Upper Kent had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 100: Brown, a Canadian Pacific Railway siding, was situated 1.5 km away.
