    • Obituary:

      Forest W. "Bill" Dean, Jr., 91, Wooster, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at his home.

      He was born Dec. 30, 1919, in Wooster, son of the late Forest W. Sr. and Vernon Lee Stone Dean.

      Bill was a chemist with the former Koppers Co. in Orrville for 40 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines. Bill was a graduate of Dennison University, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Orrville American Legion.

      Surviving are his wife, Viola Brewer Dean, of Wooster, whom he married in 1995 in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada; a step-daughter, Elaine White of Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada; step-grandson, Michael White, three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Donald Dean of Santa Rosa, Calif.; along with several nieces and nephews.

      Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Dean.

      Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 621 College Ave., Wooster, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Revs. Dr. Jeff Paschal and James Watt officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.

      Friends will be received at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
