  Obituary: The passing of Arthur Frederick Blue of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Audrey (Ebbett) Blue occurred on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 29, 1926 in Plaster Rock, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Effie (Waters) Blue. Arthur worked as a supervisor with the City of Fredericton, where he retired in May 13, 1991. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Ann Gates (Paul) of New Minas, NS; grandson, Jarred Gates (Sara Younes) of Dartmouth, NS; great granddaughter, Madalyn Anne Younes-Gates; sister, Pauline Giberson of Fredericton, NB; sister in law, Marion Blue of Sarnia, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Arthur was predeceased by his sister, Glenna Knowlton (Jess); brother, Hubert Blue and brother in law, John Giberson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 12-2 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
