    Of Woodstock, formerly of Jacksonville passed away at Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Saturday, September 27, 2003, at the age of 97. Rowena is survived by two sons, Ronald Purinton and his wife Phyllis of Florenceville, NB. and Vear Purinton and his wife Una of Woodstock, NB; She is also survived by one brother, Basil Crouse of Woodstock, NB; one sister, Ruby Stiles of Hartland; NB; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, William and Martha (Rideout) Crouse and her husband W. Benn Purinton.

    Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB.,with visitation on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Wellwood will be officiating, with interment in the Baptist Cemetery, McKenkie Corner, NB.

    Marion Oakes Easton 94. Passed away Tuesday 5-27-2003 at a local health care facility in Houlton. A resident of Easton for 78 years, she was born 2-27-1909 in Centerville, NB., Canada. At the age of 16 she moved to Easton, where she worked as a house servant. She married Clifton Hammond in 1930. They lived and farmed on the Hersom Road in Easton until his death in 1968. She married Harden Oakes of Easton in 1972. He also predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Ethel and Dana Knox of Easton, her son and dughter in law, Clifton and Sandra Hammond of Elkhorn, Nebraska, 3 grandchildren, Rae Lynn Hewitt of Easton, Kimberly Lienemann of Plattsmouth,Nebraska and Craig Hammond of Blaire, Nebraska, 3 great grandchildren.     The death of Ronald Harry Purinton of Florenceville-Bristol occurred on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 10, 1932 he was the son of the late Benn and Rowena (Crouse) Purinton. Ronald was also predeceased by his wife, Phyllis and 1 great grandson, Micah Vale.

    Ronald is survived by his 4 children, Meda (Bill) Graham of Nackawic, Nancy (Randy) Reed of Plaster Rock, Bev (Kathy) Purinton of Saint John, David (Maryann) Purinton of Florenceville-Bristol; grandchildren, Greg (Sarah Kidd) Graham, Ellen (Mark) Vale, Jessica (Nick) Shaw, Cole Reed, Benn Purinton, Julia Purinton, Nicholas Purinton, Mitchell Purinton; great grandchildren, Nora Vale, Everett Vale, Everly Shaw, Wyatt Shaw; 1 brother, Veer (Una) Purinton; 2 brothers in law, George Clark and Ervine DeLong (Bonnie) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

    It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Basil Crouse which occurred on August 22nd, 2023, at his home in Lower Woodstock, New Brunswick at the age of 76. Fred was born on November 14, 1946, in Woodstock, New Brunswick and a son of the late Basil and Mildred (DeWitt) Crouse.

    He is survived by his loving wife Stella, along with his children; Jennifer (James Montgomerie) of Scotland, Amy Costain of Florenceville and Natalie Cook of Moncton. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren: Amie and Mia Montgomerie and Whyatt Cook. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters; Catherine Crouse, Verna (Leonard) Slipp and Nancy (Calvin) Archibald. Fred was predeceased by his parents Basil and Mildred Crouse.

    Arrangements are entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road (506)-328-8430. In keeping with Fred’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will be held on a date to be announced.

    The family would like to thank neighbours, Alvin and Melinda Farrell and Joan Phillips for their kindness and support.

    Memorial donations towards the Kingdom Hall would be greatly appreciated.

    The death of J. Marie McKeil, of Centreville, NB occurred on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Marie was born May 9, 1926 in Good Corner, NB and was the daughter of the late Roy and Gladys (Crouse) Good. She was also predeceased by her husband, Lorne; grandson, Kevin; daughter in law, Linda; 1 brother, Frank Good and 1 sister, Pauline Dalzell.

    Marie is survived by her 3 children, Gwendolyn Carter (Carroll), Darrell McKeil and Carol Thomas (Larry); 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Marilyn Lawrence; 1 sister in law, Mary Good as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

    Marie's family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, the paramedics, extra mural and home care.
