Obituary:
The death of Lila Elizabeth Williams of Moose Mountain occurred on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the River View Banor, Bath. Lila was born January 13, 1925 in Holmesville and was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Sparks) Hathaway. She was also predeceased by her husband, Floyd; son, Doug; granddaughter, Sara; great granddaughter, Jackie; son in law, Gary Fitzherbert; 5 siblings, Gertie Ruff, Annie Lloyd, Margaret Oakes “Maggie”, Perley Hathaway and Lewis Hathaway.
Lila is survived by her 9 children, Deryck Williams (Donna), Sharon Fitzherbert (Mike), Brian Williams (Sharyl), Marlene Lamont (Leland), Jack Williams (Mariam), Patsy Williams, Jeanie Giberson (Wayne), June Oakes (Tom) and Andy Williams (Michelle); 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lila was the last member of her immediate family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 1-3 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dwayne Broad will officiate. The interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group, Wharton Cemetery or the River View Manor would be appreciated.

The death of Douglas "Doug" (Herbie) Williams of Moose Mountain occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at his home. Born May 2, 1955 in Bath he was the son of Lila (Hathaway) Williams and the late Floyd Williams.
Doug (Herbie) is survived by his mother, Lila; 1 daughter, Jenna Williams; step children, Levi and Sara Davenport; their mother, Bonnie Davenport; 4 brothers, Deryck Williams (Donna), Brian Williams ( Sharyl), Jack Williams (Mariam), Andy Williams (Michelle); 5 sisters, Sharon Fitzherbert (Gary), Marlene Lamont (Leland), Patsy Williams , Jeanie Giberson (Wayne) and June Oakes (Thomas) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held in the Wharton Cemetery.
