    Obituary:
    The death of Donald Freeman Giberson of Johnville occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital , Waterville. Born April 3, 1927 in Holmesville he was the son of the late Wilmot and Izetta (Oakes) Giberson. He was also predeceased by his son, Brian; 1 great grand daughter, Dahlia; 5 siblings, Lewis Giberson, Dorothy Browning, Leola Kearney, Vivian Kearney and Marion Gibbons.

    Don is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Phyllis; 6 children, Madonna DeMerchant (Murray), Dwayne Giberson (Helen), Terry Giberson (Beverly), Sonia Ruff (Calvin), Tina Moore (Dana) and Lana Black (Marc); 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

    Don was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

    Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 3-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church. The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.     Brian Bartlett Giberson, of Holmesville, passed away at his home on February 8, 2010. Born on August 2, 1948, he was the son of Donald & Phyllis (DeMerchant) Giberson and husband to Sheila Giberson.

    Brian was a devoted christian man who loved all of life’s simple pleasures. He was patient and kind, a devoted husband and loving father. Brian loved his grandchildren and all the beauty of nature that God created. He was a creative craftsman and had a special passion for his John Deere.

    Brian is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sheila; his parents, Don and Phyllis Giberson; Children, Stefan Giberson (Karen), Chris Oakes (Laura), Cory Oakes (Melissa) and Craig Oakes (Holly); 9 Grandchildren, Dylan, Chelsea, Austin, Hunter, Isaiah, Bradley, Rankin, Cameron, and Abagail; Siblings, Madonna DeMerchant (Murray), Sonia Ruff (Calvin), Tina Moore (Dana), Lana Black (Mark), Dwayne Giberson (Helen) and Terry Giberson (Bev); many nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be held from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, February 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Holmesville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Murray and Rev. Oral McAffee officiating. Interment will be in the Holmesville Cemetery.

    For those who wish, donations made to the Holmesville Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
