Obituary:
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of William "Billy Jack" Mercer of Lower Coverdale on July 23, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Arlene Ayer and the late Bill Mercer.
Billy Jack was a trailer mechanic at GoRight. He was a friend to few but an acquaintance of many. Like so many others, he fought a life-long battle to keep afloat in the midst of mental health struggles and substance abuse. He would be the first to tell you that there is a better life that you can have outside of those struggles if you ask for and accept help and support.
Left to mourn him are his wife Angela, children Dr. Victoria Mercer (Shaun MacIntosh) and Abigail Mercer, sister Alana Wilkins (Terry), mother Arlene Mercer (Keith), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A private family service will take place at a later date at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007). Burial will follow at Alderwood Cemetery.
