    Obituary:

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Louise Bell (nee McBrine) of Bristol, N.B. on July 22, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 21, 1933 to loving parents, Annie (nee Lovely) and Fred McBrine of Glassville, N.B., and was predeceased by her much loved older sister, Claudine “Teenie” Whitehouse (died December 29, 2003). “Mike” was the loving wife for 33 years of the late Albert David Bell (died March 16, 1990).

She was cherished by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Ian Brown of Carleton Place, Ontario and Laurie and Ken Neal of St. Louis, Missouri. She was known as “Gwamma”, “Brumbra”, “G-Ram”, “Girlfriend”, “Queen of Bristol” and “Marianne” to her grandchildren Leah, Kenny (Elise), Ashley (Ryan), Erica, Leslee, and Drew who worshipped her as much as she did them. She had a way of making each of them feel like the most special person in the world and her abundant love for them will live inside each of them for all time. To her great-grandchildren, Connor and Paxton she was known as “Belle”, beautiful one. Marion will be remembered as a dear sister-in-law to Edith (Sonny-predeceased) Doherty, Anna Bell (Gerald-predeceased) Kilfoil, Katharine and Donald Bell, and Alberta and Charley Bell. She will also be missed by those who knew and loved her as Auntie Marion.

A heartfelt thank you to special friends who helped her remain in her home and enjoy her gardens during her final years. We could not be more grateful to you. Her sweet and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by her many former little students, teaching colleagues, and neighbours whose lives she touched over the years. Thank you to Dr. Bruce Lockhart, Dr. Anderson and the staff at the Waterville Hospital for the amazing care and compassion you extended to Marion and her family.

To honour Marion’s life, friends are invited to visit Faith Memorial Church, Florenceville, N.B. on July 24, 2018. Family and friends may visit at 1:00 pm in the chapel with the service commencing at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Bristol Community Cemetery. Arrangements are being taken care of by L. R.
