    Grace Edna Demmings of Perth-Andover passed away unexpectedly at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on October 5, 2014. Grace was born in Glassville, NB on December 31, 1926. She was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Foreman) Millie. Grace leaves behind her children Deborah Bubar (Norman) of Wicklow, Brent Demmings (Joyce) of Carlingford; her son-in-law Michael Mersereau of Miramichi; sisters Gwen Gray of Wallingford, CT, Ena Hicks of Calgary, AB, Anne Schure of White Bear Lake, MN, Brenda Jardine (Darryl) of Nackawic; brothers Irvine Millie Edna) of London, ON, Larry Millie (Carol) of Woodstock, Ted Millie (Doris) of Riverview; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband John Demmings; her daughter Beverly Anne Mersereau; her sister Sheila Simonds; her brother Don Millie. Grace had fulfilling years teaching elementary school students and early childhood kindergarten (Play and Learn). She was a member of the United Church Women, the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Keenagers Club.
    Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday 1 to 3 pm followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 3 pm. Rev. Steve Longmoore officiating. A private family interment will take place at the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives at a reception held at the funeral home following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.

    Grace married John Randolph DEMMINGS on 22 Oct 1949 in Andover, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada. John (son of Ernest Randolph DEMMINGS and Margaret Jane CULLEN) was born on 8 Oct 1918 in Aroostook, Victoria County; died on 27 Dec 2009 in Perth-Andover, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada; was buried on 22 May 2010 in Presbyterian Rural Cemetery, Perth-Andover, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada.     Beverly Demmings
    DEMMINGS, BEVERLY ANNE - 1960 - 2013 - Beverly Demmings, of Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at her residence, at the age of 53. She was the daughter of Grace (Millie) Demmings and the late John Demmings. She was a teacher and a member of the United Church of Canada. Beverly also volunteered with M.R.T.A, Friends of Beaubears Island, Nelson Doyle Dancers, Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Ovarian Cancer Society of Canada. She will be sadly missed by her husband Michael Mersereau; children Liana Claire Mersereau and Hiew John Mersereau both at home; sister Deborah (Norman Bubar) of Florenceville, NB; brother Brent Demmings (Joyce Miller) of Carlingford, NB; niece Jill Bubar; nephew Mitchell Bubar; mother-in-law Mrs. Theonilde (Nel) Mersereau of Charlottetown, PEI; sister-in-laws Karen Mersereau (Gerard Paulin) and their son Jules Paulin and Anne Haldemann (Kurt) and their daughters Amy and Danielle.
    The family received relatives and friends from the Governor's Mansion, on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Beverly's life was held on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 2 pm, from Théâtre Gilles Laplante, Centre communautaire Carrefour Beausoleil. Rev. Olive Anne Archibald officiated the service and a performance of "Stolen Kiss" was performed by the Nelson Doyle Dancers. Stories of Beverly's early years were told by Krista Spence, and Jennifer Grant and Denise Thibodeau told stories of her adult years. Memories of her family years were told by Dot Millie, Mitchell Bubar, and Karen Mersereau. Bible verses were read by Shelly Dionne and Jacqueline Allain sang "The River", "Rise Again", and "My Heart Will Go On".
    An honour guard was also formed by the Nelson Doyle Dancers.
    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Extra Mural, Hospice Miramichi, Ovarian Cancer Society of Canada, or Miramichi SPCA. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, telephone (506) 622-7741
