1932-2009

F. Douglas Clark “Doug” of Beechwood, NB passed away at his home on March 31, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. Doug was born in Beechwood on February 6, 1932 he was the son of the late James and Frances (DeMerchant) Clark.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (nee Salmon) Clark, 2 children, Richard (Tammy) Clark and Robyn Chase (Robert), 4 Grandchildren, Bobby, Cameron, Karli and Ashley, 2 brothers, Robert Clark (Marie) and Frederick Clark (June) and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, 1 sister, Florence Gaunce and 1 brother Melvin Clark.

Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors 207 Burnham Rd. Florencville, NB on Thursday April 2, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Rev. Oral McAffee officiating. Interment will be in the Bristol Free Will Baptist Cemetery at a later date. It is with sadness that the family of Richard Douglas Clark announce his death which occurred on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Richard was born June 17, 1962 in Bath and was the son of Shirley (Salmon) Clark and the late F. Douglas Clark.
Richard is survived by his 2 sons, Bobby Clark (Nicky Hayes) and Cameron Clark; his mother, Shirley Clark; his sister, Robyn Chase; his special friend, Celine Pendic; his 2 nieces, Karli Farnham (Tristan) and Ashely Cumberland (Nathan) and their son, Matthew.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 2-5 pm. A convoy of highway trucks will gather at 12:00 noon at the funeral home to procede to the graveside service. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Bristol Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Carl O’Donnell will officiate. Michael S. Gaunce
1962-2024

Michael Samuel Gaunce of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, passed away on March 4, 2024 at the Aberdeen Hospital, in New Glasgow, N.S. He was born October 27, 1962 in Bath, N.B. and was the son of the late Christopher and Florence Gaunce. Mike was also predeceased by his special Aunt Etha, who always kept an eye out for him.

Mike is survived by his brothers Jim Gaunce (Sandra), Peter Gaunce (Pamela), and Seth Gaunce (Valerie), as well as nieces Shawna, Dayna, Casey, Erin and Emily and nephew Logan; also grand nieces Harlow, Leni, Florence, Sadie and Charlotte and grand nephew Avery

Mike was a man of many interests including geology, computers, music and was an avid reader. He loved reading books. In his younger days, Mike enjoyed canoeing some of New Brunswick’s wild rivers with friends and Uncle Fred.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Aberdeen Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care of Mike during his stay there, as well as his friends who faithfully visited with him.

A graveside service, date yet to be determined, will be conducted later in the spring or summer at the Wharton Cemetery in Upper Kent, New Brunswick. If so desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are being handled by L. R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Road, Florenceville-Bristol, N.B.
