    The death of Joan Madeline Broad formerly of Beechwood occurred at River View Manor in Bath on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Joan was born August 9, 1939 in Holmesville. She was predeceased by her parents Percy and Eileen (Doucette-Gee) Hargrove, husband, Garnet, infant son Reginald, daughter Sherry, two special grandsons: Jesse and Jeremy, and great-grandson A.J.; 3 siblings, Carl Hargrove, Fred Hargrove and Mildred Hargrove-Clark.

    She leaves behind seven beloved children: Thomas Broad, Richard Broad (Darlene), Sheldon Broad, Randy Broad (Heather), Julie DeMerchant (Troy), Rodney Broad (Julie), and Wendy Broad. Seventeen grandchildren: Synika, Chala, Catrina, Joni, Jamie, Daniel, Jacob, Michael, Matthew, Naomi, Justin, Tara, Ryan, Mara, Damien, Roderick, Dustin. Twenty one great-grandchildren: Maisie, Harlie, Alexis, Jarja, Brayden, Jada, Colby, Jaylyn, Tyson, Manny, Brooklyn, Alexis, Leah, Sway, Jane, Lydia, Jonah, Braxton, Leah, Landon and Leila; four brothers, Basil Hargrove (Denise), Lyle Hargrove (Sarah), Neville Hargrove, and Cecil Hargrove (Sheila); two sisters, Roma Harris (Donald) and Cynthia Hargrove-Blair (Wade).

    Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. A family graveside service will follow at the Wharton Cemetery. Donations to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group or River View Manor would be appreciated.

    It is with saddened hearts that we pronounce the peaceful passing of Mildred Doris Hargrove Clark.

    Mildred was born at Bath Hospital in New Brunswick on the 28th day of February 1941. She is the daughter of the late Percy D. Hargrove and Eileen Audrey Gee Hargrove.

    Surrounded at her home, by her loving family; our mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, a friend went to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 8, 2022.

    In heaven, she joins her father, mother, and brothers Carl and Fred Hargrove.

    She will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 62 years Edward G. Clark and their children; Toni Clark and wife Renee and their sons Eddie, James, Michael, Tony, and Richard; Natalie Pearce and husband David and children Brandon, Breanna, Cord, Robert, Steven and Erin; Dixie Lapage and her husband Kevin and girls Tiffany, Lindsay and Deidra; Kelly Shaw and her husband Dean and children Kirk, Lyle, and Brittany; Corey Clark and wife Jenn and children Meghan, Anthony, Adrian, Alex, Liam, and Marah.

    She is tenderly survived by many great-grandchildren who love her dearly. She is also survived by siblings Roma, Joan, Buzz, Lyle, Nevil, Cecil, and Cynthia, and all their families.

    Mildred will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family as well as her church family.

    Edward and the children would like to extend special heartfelt thanks to Joan Gooding for her selfless attention to our mother over the years.

    Special appreciation is also extended to Dr. Clay Marco and extramural staff in the Woodstock unit.

    As a polio survivor, Mildred never let a challenge master her, and along with her husband’s innovative talents; they together could figure out a way to accomplish any task at hand. These two wonderful people have extended their talents and helping hand to many family and friends alike over the 6 decades of their betrothment.

    Edward and family will host a visitation the evening of Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 6 to 9 pm at their home at 619 Rockland Road. Mildred’s celebration of life and committal for family and close friends will be the following day at 1 pm at their home. Service to be officiated by Pastor Mel Norton.

    Brother of the late Carl Hargrove, Mildred Clark, Roma Hargrove, Joan Broad, Basil (Buzz) Hargrove, Lyle Hargrove, Neville Hargrove, Cecil Hargrove, Cynthia Hargrove Blair and Cy Clark.

    The death of Sherry Lee Broad of Beechwood occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital, Perth Andover, NB. Sherry was born March 1, 1958 in Bath, NB and was the daughter of the Joan (Hargrove) Broad and the late Garnet Broad. She is also predeceased by her son Jeremy; grandson, A.J. Broad; brother, Reginald Broad.
    Sherry is survived by her daughters, Synika Gee and Chala Watson (Jason); grandchildren, Alexis, Jayda, Jorja, Colby, Brayden, Harlie, Maisie; siblings Tom Broad, Sheldon Broad, Rick Broad, Randy Broad, Julie DeMerchant, Rodney Broad, Wendy Broad as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
    Visitation will be held from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on June 17, 2023 from 12-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2pm. Rev.
