The death of Ripley Jack DeLong "Rip" of Glassville occurred on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home. Born December 10, 1932 in Glassville he was the son of the late George and Francis (Rideout) Delong. He was also predeceased by 1 grandson, Kyle Powis; 2 sisters, Helen Levesque and Norma Brown.
Rip is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda; 4 children, Wendy Gautreau (Edward), Linda Southward (Danny), Jackie Powis (Paul) and Joey DeLong; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Janalynn, Raymond, Alanda, Tyler and Jacklynn; 7 great grandchildren, Megan, Marissa, Kayla, Kyle, Degan, Brayden and Chole; 7 siblings, Bud Delong, Ronald DeLong (Mary), Joe DeLong (Monica), Marilyn Argraves (Bobby), Maxine Dyer, Marie Robinson and Darlene Shaw.
A time to remember, and share stories of Rip with family and friends will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Juniper Rec Centre from 2-4 pm. 1966-2012
The death of Joseph Ripley Delong of Mainstream occurred on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born June 29, 1966 he was the son of Wanda (Lis) Delong and the late Ripley Delong.
Joe is survived by his mother, Wanda; 3 sisters, Wendy Gautreau (Edward), Linda Southward (Danny) and Jackie Powis (Paul); special friends, Jonathan Brooks, Corey Clair, Zach Cox, Hauley Cummings, Lisa Hathaway, Wendy Stevens, Trevor and Angela Welch and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1-4 pm in the Foster Fellowship Hall at Faith Memorial United Church, 175 Brunham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol.
