Bristol (Carleton Co.) Feb. 6 - The remains of a young man, the son of Robert MILLER, formerly of Glassville, arrived here Friday from Boston where he had lately resided and were taken to Glassville for interment.

Gordonsville Man Succumbs Very Suddenly. The community of Gordonsville was greatly shocked by the sudden death of Frank Lovely on May 18, 1937. He was talking with friends at Bristol when he collapsed and soon passed away. Mr. Lovely was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Lovely of Gordonsville and 50 years of age. For some years he lived at Wapsky and was employed by the Whitman Lumber Co. The deceased had been enjoying his usual health and in company with his sister, Mrs. Sam Elkins had just returned from visiting relatives in Houlton and Presque Isle, stopping at the Cheeri-O Tea Room, Bristol for refreshments and lunch. After enjoying lunch together the sisters, Mrs. Elkins and Mrs. Ackley returned to Gordonsville, Mr. Lovely remaining at Bristol; and while conversing with friends, suddenly collapsed and passed away in a few minutes. The deceased possessed a genial disposition, friendly and good natured and will be much missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife Minnie (Briggs) and one son Ira at Wapske, Victoria County; one daughter Irma at Houlton, Me.; his father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Lovely of Gordonsville; three brothers Wellington, Robert and Kenneth, Gordonsville; two sisters, Mrs. John Ackeley, Presque Isle, Me., and Mrs. Samuel Elkins, Gordonsville, NB. Interment was made in the family lot in Gordonsville cemetery.

Hugh J. Elkins of 214 Canterbury Drive, Fredericton was promoted to Heaven on November 24, 2004 at the age of 70. Born on November 18, 1934, Hugh spent his early years in Gordonsville, NB and graduated from Bristol High School in June 1954. He was saved in a revival meeting in Bristol by Rev. Daniel Pike and Rev. Jack MacKenzie in 1951. In early years, he was a member of the Privitive Baptist Conference and preached in several Primitive Baptist churches.
Hugh graduated from Teacher's College in 1955, obtained a Bachelor of Teaching degree from UNB in 1964 as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. He taught school for 35 years in various locations, spending the last 25 years of his career in the Fredericton area.

He enjoyed the outdoors and did a bit of farming, most notably strawberries and Christmas trees. A member of the First Wesleyan Church in Fredericton, Hugh enjoyed Beulah Camp and his cottage at Browns Flat with his wife and family for over 40 years. Next to God, his family was the love of his life, as were his many friends. Hugh is survived by his wife, Ruth Marie Morgan (whom he married on June 30,1961); his son, Stephen John; his daughters Andrea Ruth Toner (Bill) and Jennifer Margaret (Robert Etheridge) and, his granddaughter, Samantha Margaret. He is also survived by his step-mother, Dora Elkins; two sisters, Brenda Elkins and Cindy Bushby (Allan); two brothers, Donald Elkins and Brent Elkins (Valerie); his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, June Morgan Greer (Eugene), Rev. William Morgan (Elsie) Irvine Glen Morgan (Bertha), nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Hazel (Lovely) Elkins, in 1938, and by his father, Samuel Elkins, in 1974.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at 1ST Wesleyan Church, on Friday from 7-9 pm. The memorial service will be held at First Wesleyan Church, 131 Duncan Lane, Fredericton, on Saturday November 27, 2004 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Karl Ingersoll and Rev. Norman Trafton officiating. Interment to follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery in Gordonsville, NB at a later date. Honourary pallbearers are:Warren McNamara; Ron Davidson; Blake Collins; Arnold Good; Fraser McHatten; Willard Crawford; Ivan Fawcett; Royce Stewart; Doug Coates; Brian Barnes; Robert Black; Rev. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neil Cameron Lovely of Gordonsville which occurred on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville at the age of 85. Born in Gordonsville on July 26, 1929 he was the son of the late Kenneth and Edith (Rogers) Lovely. He was also predeceased by 1 son, Frank; 1 grand daughter, Brenda; 2 brothers, Olin and Aubrey.

Neil is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Myrna (Haynes) Lovely; his 4 daughters, Lorna Smith (Arthur), Heather Osbak (Curtis), Lori DeMerchant (Paul) and Nancy Hallett (Neil); 9 grandchildren; 11 great grand children; 2 sisters, Hazel Giberson and Edna Lyon as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 am from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Vaughan Palin will officiate. Interment will be in the Gordonsville Community Cemetery at a later date. It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Hazel Amelia Giberson of Woodstock on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 91.
Born in Gordonsville on March 27, 1931, to the late Kenneth and Edith (Rogers) Lovely. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Hazel is survived by her daughters Jennifer Strong (Tom), Janice Giberson (Darren), Lisa Calhoun, Nicole Giberson, Sons Neville Giberson (Diane) and Ken Giberson (Wendy), Grand Children Vince, Julie, Kelly, Laura, Sean, Brandon, Brad, Liam, Great Grandchildren Jordan, Allie, Hunter, Skylar.
Besides her parents Hazel was predeceased by her husband Ralph, son Lyle, Sister Edna Lyon, brothers Aubrey, Olin and Neil Lovely.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 16, 2022, at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB from 2 to 4 PM.
Interment will be in the Gordonsville Cemetery in the spring.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 16, 2022, at 5:30 PM from the Woodstock Baptist Church Main Street.
The service will be live streamed from the church website.

The death of John Clark Lovely formerly of Greenfield occurred on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born January 20, 1955 in Bath he was the son of the late Elvin and Dorothy (Clark) Lovely.
John was raised and spent most of his life living on the Back Greenfield Rd. John loved to fish, watch wrestling and the company of his pets. He enjoyed to visit with family and friends from his community.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Eric Lovely and Craig Lovely (Natasha Lee); 3 sisters, Jillian Johnson, Cheryl Lovely and Pam DeLong; nephew and nieces, Paul Johnson, Lynne Johnson and Susan Maxwell.

It is with broken and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Craig Robert Lovely of Richmond Corner, which occurred on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in the arms of the love of his life, Natasha Lee. Craig was born in Bath, NB on January 27, 1984 and was the son of Vanessa Hargrove and the late John Lovely.

Craig is predeceased by his father; his grandfathers Arnold Hargrove and Elvin Lovely; his nan, Dorothy Lovely; and his furbaby, Trigger (aka Biggie).

His childhood was filled with lots of cuddles, mischief, creativity, and play along with medical challenges which continued throughout his life. Craig had an impressive intelligence and recollection that allowed him to navigate adversity. With all of this, he always had time for a sarcastic quip and could always muster a smile IF something was funny; you could sure tell he was Arnold’s grandson.

Along with his other antics, Craig’s favorite offerings included the choice of a “super nose ping” or a “super wedgie plex,” both served up with his famous mischievous grin and a sparkle in his eye.

Craig had a passion for his homemade medicine that he proudly produced with his honed and most excellent horticultural skills. Craig always knew that two was better than one. He would say “a bird can’t fly on one wing” as he happily shared his gifts with friends and family.

Craig loved Natasha with all of his golden heart and together they were the definition of a perfect couple. With mutual learning and growth, they became the best version of themselves. Their hearts intertwined; they blossomed together.

He adored time with his nephews, Jace and Tye and niece, Karma along with his furbabies, Toes, Jack, and Rocko. Craig will always be loved by his mother Vanessa Hargrove of Woodstock, NB; bonus father Kevin Kelley of Hartland, NB; grandmother Geraldine Hargrove of Bath, NB; his brothers Eric Lovely of Woodstock, Sam Kelley (Jess) of Fredericton, NB, Charly Kelley (Eddie) of Halifax, NS, and Jordan and Brady Lee of Woodstock; his extended family including Sarah Taylor (Dan) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB; Nora Hargrove (Tom) of Centreville, NB; Sheila MacDonald (James) of Woodstock and their children; Clifton Hargrove (Nancy) of Fredericton and their children; Eva Calder (Joe) of Scotsburn, NS and their children; Susan Maxwell of Florenceville-Bristol; Pam Delong of Florenceville-Bristol; Cheryl Lovely of Woodstock; and Eiron Plume (Jeff) of Hanwell, NB, along with countless other family and friends whose lives he filled with laughter.

His family would like to extend their deepest thanks to all the medical staff who have supported Craig throughout his life.
