    Patrick D. Sarchfield 1930-2011

    It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick David Sarchfield, of Esdraelon, that occurred at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Thursday, August 18, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born May 2, 1930 in Knowlesville, he was the son of the late Patrick and Eileen (Weston) Sarchfield.

    Pat was a lifelong member of the Anglican Christ Church, Glassville. As a proud member of CUPE, he drove school bus for 30 years. Pat was also a Licensed Motor Mechanic. He loved the outdoors and working in his woodlot. In later years he derived much pleasure from sitting on his porch and visits by his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. An autumn would not be complete without the annual family trek to the Sarchfield Graves on Skedaddle Ridge.

    Pat is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley (Anderson) married Nov 10,1951, special sister-in-law Margaret Gardiner (Bill) of Australia; 9 children - David (Sharon) Jacksonville, Brian (Leota) Scotch Lake, Marilyn (Lorne Drake) Waterville, Allan (Nancy) Jacksonville, Donna (Rick) Kelly Quispamsis, Kevin (Tracey) Knowlesville, Gregory (Sharon), Knowlesville, Christopher (Kim) Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Troy (Robyn Welcher) Woodstock; siblings - Elizabeth (Betty) Lunnie, Ercel, Stanley, Kilburn, Donald, Gerald; 22 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Besides his parents, Pat is predeceased by sisters Patricia MacKenzie, Marguerite Boyd, and Mabel Donnelly; brothers Garvin and Raymond.

    Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Road, Florenceville-Bristol, NB on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jane Arnott officiating. Internment will be in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Glassville.

    Donations may be made to Christ Church Cemetery Glassville, the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group or an organization of the donor’s choice.

    In sadness, but with appreciation for the extended time we had to cherish her presence, the family announce her passing on November 24,2020 at her residence in Bath at Riverview Manor. Born March 25,1920, she was 4 months short of 101 years of age. She is the daughter of late Patrick and Eileen (Weston) Sarchfield of Knowlesville. She is the wife of Archie Lunnie of Argyle, deceased in 1966. Missed and fondly remembered by her children: Eileen (Frank) Mac Donald, twins, Betty Stoddard and Bill( Sally Deakin) Lunnie and Dwight (France Raisin) Lunnie. Her Grand children: Denice, Kirk, Tracy and Andrea Brown ; Faye, Roy and Victoria Stoddard ; Martha, Sarah and Amy Lunnie and Andrew, Jason and Renee Lunnie. There are 23 Great Grand children and 8 Great-Great Grand children. Also one brother Donald Sarchfield. Sisters in law Inez, Shirley, Sandy and Yvonne Sarchfield.

    Mom was one of 12 siblings and was predeceased by sisters :Margaurite ( Attle) Boyd , Patricia (Frank) Henderson and Mable (Marshall) Donnelly. Brothers;Garvin, Ercel Stanley, Pat, Kilburn ,Gerald and Raymond Sarchfield. A special note also for her childhood and "Best Friend" Ruby Wilson who preceded her about 13 years ago. Also predeceased in 1978 by a son in law, Beverly Brown and a son in law in 2020, Deane Stoddard.

    Mom was an unbelievable mother, mentor, friend and confident. She took great pride and joy in her family, community and church. . Her spirit of confidence and determination in living through life's ups-and-downs was always noted by family and considered another parental teaching. Thank you to all the friends and neighbors who helped her and us along the way.

    Funeral arrangements are entrusted to L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be no visitation at this time. A celebration of life is being considered for later spring. Similarly a private family committal is planned. It is requested that any donations offered be directed to Lakeview United Church Cemetery Fund or to your local food bank.

    Mabel A. Donnelly, [1933-2009] age 76, of Stickney, NB passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. Mable was the daughter of the late Patrick and Eileen (Weston) Sarchfield. Besides her parents, Mable was predeceased by her husband, Marshall Donnelly, a son, Dalton Donnelly, sister, Marguerite Boyd, and brother, Garvin Sarchfield. She is survived by her children; Diane (Anthony) Shaw of Fredericton, Larry Donnelly of Stickney, Katharine Chase of Peel, Wade (Connie) Donnelly of Woodstock, grandchildren; Jason (Sheila) Shaw, Corrie Shaw, Emily Donnelly, great grandchildren; Grayson Shaw, Sam Shaw, brothers; Kilburn Sarchfield, Raymond Sarchfield, sister-in-law, Peggy Sarchfield and a special nephew, Joe (Myrtle) Boyd.     Stanley Gordon Sarchfield, 90, of Knowlesville NB passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB. Stanley was born in Knowlesville NB on December 10, 1928 son of the late Patrick and Eileen Sarchfield.

    Stanley is survived by his wife, Inez, children, James, Douglas, Roberta (Eric), siblings, Elizabeth, Kilburn, Donald, Gerald, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia, brothers, Garvin, Patrick JR, Raymond, Ercel, sisters, Patricia, Marguerite and Mable.

    Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 12:30 to 2 PM. Funeral service for Stanley will be held at 2 PM on Saturday from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery Glassville at a later date.

    The family of Gerald Clinton Sarchfield are saddened to announce his unexpected passing at his home in Cambridge Narrows, NB on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the age of 83. Gerald was born in Cold Stream, NB on March 28, 1936 son of the late Patrick and Eileen (Weston) Sarchfield. He is survived by his companion, Sandra Thomas; sons, Darrel (Connie) and Calvin (Frances); daughters, Joyce Brown, Sue (Terry) Bishop and Sherry (Scott) Harrington; brother, Donald; sister, Elizabeth Lunnie; grandchildren, Logan (Meagan) Sarchfield, Bradley (Stephanie) Sarchfield, Caleigh Sarchfield, Brooke (Brent) Roi, Makenzie Brown, Spencer (Katie) Brown, Alex Harrington and Tara (Yves) Leger; great-grandchildren, Rowan Brown, Arlo Sarchfield, Sawyer Sarchfield, Brielle Leger, Chloe Viel and Eva Roi; many nieces, nephews and good friends.     It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Sarchfield announces his passing on February 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family in Woodstock New Brunswick, at the age of 87. Donald was born on November 18, 1934 to the late Eileen (Weston) and Patrick Sarchfield. He is survived by his children Steven (Gail), Charles (Faye), Joe (Cathy) and John (Debbie), His Grandchildren Heidi, Corey, Tyler, Wesley, Nicole, Britney, Courtney, Alex, Jonah, his special friend Elaine Brown, as well as many extended friends and family. Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth (Sherwood) Sarchfield, as well as his siblings Kilburn, Garvin, Stanley, Gerald, Raymond, Patrick, Ercell, Marguerite , Patricia, Mable and Betty.
    A visitation will be held on Saturda y, February 19, 2022, at the Salvation Army Church from 2 to 4 PM, followed by the funeral service at the same location.
    Provincial COVID regulations will apply to both the visitation and service. Proof of vaccination, a mask, and social distancing are required.
    If so desired, donation in Donald’s memory can be made out to the Salvation Army.

    Dianne Jean Shaw of Hanwell passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Hospice House Fredericton. She was born April 23, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mabel Donnelly. Besides her parents,
    she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Shaw; two brothers, Larry Donnelly and Dalton Donnelly.
    Dianne is survived by her daughter, Corrie Shaw of Fredericton; son, Jay (Sheila) Shaw of Fredericton; grandson, Grayson Shaw of Fredericton; granddaughter, Sam Shaw, of Fredericton; sister, Kathie Donnelly of Peel; brother, Wade (Connie) Donnelly of Woodstock; niece, Emily Donnelly of Hanwell.
    The family would like to thank all those involved in Dianne’s medical care in the last several months, especially the staff and volunteers at the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre, Mgr.     Cynthia is survived by her parents, Stanley and Inez Sarchfield, spouse, Robert Hudson, sister, Roberta Knox (Eric), brothers, Douglas Sarchfield, James Sarchfield, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM. Funeral service for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1 PM from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery Glassville at a later date.
