  Obituary: Rhonda J. Lawton: 1948-2015 Mrs. Rhonda J. Lawton, wife of Fred Lawton, of Miramichi, NB passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday at the age of 67. Born in Saint John, NB on July 5, 1948, she was the daughter of Evelyn M. (Derrah) of Bedford, NS and the late Hilston S. Martin.  She was a cherished homemaker, a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist, and a treasured Administrative Professional during her varied career. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Fred Lawton; one daughter, Rhonda Lee Curran (David), of Edmonton, AB; one son, Gregg Lawton (Mary), of Saint John, NB; one sister, Jan Conrod (Mark), of Bedford, NS; three brothers, Hal Martin (Ella), of Mattawa, ON, John Martin (Geeta), of Scarborough, ON, and Garth Martin (Lynda), of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren, Erin and Avery; many nieces and nephews; as well as some cousins and very close friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Baby Girl Lawton, in 1974. By her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, NB, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers by her request.
