  Obituary: Emily D. McConnell 1938-2020 Emily Diane McConnell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Ruth Anna's Special Care Home in Hartland. Born July 2, 1938 in Andover, NB she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Almedia (Donovan) Watson. She was also predeceased by her husband, Stanley McConnell; 1 sister, Adelia (Dilly) McConnell; 4 brothers, Almon, Dennis, Winston and Robert Watson. Emily worked at the River View Manor as a cook, she also worked a number of years at McCain Foods. Emily's favorite pass time was a good game of Bingo. Emily is survived by her 5 children, Andrew (Nancy) McConnell of Gregg Settlement, Cheryl (Walter) Kelly of Summerside, PEI, Christopher (Kathy) McConnell of Fort McMurray, AB, Kelly (Fernand) (McConnell) of Jacksonville, NB and Richard McConnell of Centreville, NB; 8 grandchildren, Stephen McConnell, Kaitlyn (Ben) Dyer Monmouth, Maine, Megan McConnell of Centreville, NB, Jason (Spring) Kelly of Summerside, PEI, Joshua (Jennifer) Kelly of Charlottetown, PEI, Courtney (James) Long of Fort McMurray, AB, Kristopher McConnell of Alberta and Kane McConnell of Fort McMurray, AB; 8 great grandchildren, Julia, Henry, Camden, Ava, Ben, Caden, Keira, Sadie, Wren, Lexie and Jessica; 4 siblings, Alton (Charlene) Watson of Knoxford, NB, Ervin (Colleen) Watson of Vanessa, ON, Judy Kilcollins of Campbell River, BC and Marilyn Dorogi of Brantford, ON as well as several nieces , nephews and extended family. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Centreville. Donations made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Ruth Anna's Special Care Home for all the care and compassion shown to mom over the past 4 1/2 years. Special thanks to Ruth, Karen, Sandra, Anna, Heather, Julie, Courtney, Charlotte, Felicia and Beth.
