Steven Harrington
1949-2025
Steven John Harrington of Divide passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born November 29, 1949, and was the son of the late Harold Harrington and Alice Orser. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his partner, Linda Duguay; stepfather, Ralph Orser; son, Jeff Harrington; grandson, Jonah Harrington; great granddaughter, Ava Harrington.
Steven is survived by the mother of his children, Ronica Harrington; children, Dwayne Harrington, Jonathan Harrington, Tina Brown (Chad); grandchildren, Kayla Harrington (Jermaine Brosseau), Courtney Harrington, Kelsey Harrington (Josh Gilliard), Caitlyn Harrington (Dee MisKimen), Kristen Harrington (Zaid Al-Mughrabi), Cayden Harrington, Bianca Greer (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Zachary Brosseau, Baker Harrington, Kaeson Harrington, Ferrah Gilliard, Marissa Greer; brothers, Leo Harrington (Nancy), Leonard Orser (Tina); his best friend, Duane Stephenson; and nieces and nephews.
Steve was a devoted and faithful follower of Christ, a strong tower of strength. He loved his family as well as his Burnham Rd church family. He cherished every moment that he could attend Sunday service. He was passionate about music and well known for his talent singing and playing guitar. He especially loved singing country gospel, performing at many different churches and special functions. He published his own gospel CD in 2001 with favorites such as " There's a man in here", "Don't let them take the Bible", and "You can change", which he wrote himself. His family were his number one fans. Steve was a tenacious hard working man. He especially loved working at the sugar bush. He was a problem solver and could transform nothing into something with limited resources. It was not easy to see Steve go through the long road of physical challenges that he endured, however he remained strong willed and very determined. Even after doctors told him he may never walk again on his own, he persevered and proved to everyone that he indeed would walk again, and he did. Unfortunately his health turned, and it was time for God to call him to his eternal home. Steve looked forward to reuniting with all his loved ones who had gone on before him. He was at peace with God's plan and is now experiencing great joy with his Lord and Savior.
