1923-2025
The death of Leona Maxine Morgan of Perth-Andover occurred on June 18th, 2025, at the Victoria Glen Manor. Leona was born November 10th, 1923, in Piercemont, NB and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Myrtle (Williams) Grant. Leona was also predeceased by her beloved husband, James; her sons, Edmond and Donald; and her 8 siblings, Nina, Edwin “Tiny”, Burton, Berlin, Roy, Paul, Marion and Arnold.
Leona is survived by one son, Gailen Morgan (Gail); 4 grandchildren, Sherry (Rich) Geier, David (Sally-Ann) Morgan, Kristina (Jonathan) Heibein, Michael (Angele) Morgan, 8 great grandchildren; Jamie, Sarah, Emily, Lindsay, Amy, Logan, Spencer and Parker; 10 great great grandchildren; 6 siblings; Adelia Walton, Lois Broad, Rosella Rice, Keith Grant, John Grant, Edward “Buster” Grant as well as many, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Leona was a treasure to all who knew her. She had many skills like knitting, crocheting, and quilting, and each one of her immediate family would get to benefit from these talents. Her home made brown bread and donuts were always a welcoming treat. Leona took ceramic classes and organ lessons later in life, and at the age of 70, got her driver's license. But we all knew it was her strong Pentecostal faith that kept her going. She lived her faith to the fullest. We will miss her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at 2 pm from the Upper Kent United Pentecostal Church. The interment will follow in the Wharton Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Victoria Glen Manor or the Upper Kent United Pentecostal Church with great appreciation.
