Services For Hugh Bradley Funeral services were held for the late Hughie John Bradley who passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital at Woodstock on June 19th at the age of 63, after a brief illness. Born on December 20, 1909, Mr. Bradley was the oldest son of the late James and Lydia Bradley, Wakefield. He spent his whole life in and around the Hartland area.
He is survived by his only child, Halden, and his daughter-in-law, Irene, and his two grandchildren, Charlotte and Larry; also survived by his two brothers, Percy Bradley of Hartland, and Eugene (Joe) Bradley of Fredericton; four sisters, Mrs. Besssie Bridges of Michigan, U.S.A., Helen HalIett of Ontario, Annie Seeley, Saint John and Mrs. Burnham Glass (Ferne) of Woodstock; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bradley is also sadly missed by Avon Worth and her two daughters, Marie and Rosalie, who have made their home with him for the past fifteen years.
The remains rested at the home of his son, Halden, and funeral services were held at the Wesleyan Church, Hartland. Prayers were said at the home of his son, Halden Bradley, on Thursday afternoon, June 21st , Rev. Hicks officiated.
Hymns were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Elias Crabbe and William Clark which were “Beyond The Sunset”, Where The Roses Never Fade" and "Shall We Gather At The River”. Pallbearers were James McLeod, Eldon Clark, John Hallett, John Gee, Lloyd Melvin and Elbert Day. Funeral was directed by Britton's of Hartland. Interment was in the Greenbank Cemetery, Wakefield.
