Robert W. Letson
LETSON-the death of Robert W. Letson of Highland Ave., Rothesay, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, following a brief illness. Mr. Letson was born in Fredericton, a son of the late Arlie and Grace (Shannon) Letson, and had been a chemistry teacher at Saint John High School until his retirement in 1996. He was predeceased by his wife, the former A. Lynne McCarron, in 1992. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Choir. He had been a devoted volunteer for Big Brother-Big Sisters and the Canadian Cancer Society. He is survived by one son, Matthew (Sarah) Letson of Saint John; one brother, Richard (Wanda) Letson of Rothesay; one sister, Mary Lou Booker of Saint John; one sister-in-law, Kevyn Buckley of Rothesay; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 1000 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 7 to 9 and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Big Brothers-Big Sisters or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
