      Eldon F. Hillman
      1941-2025

The death of Eldon Franklin Hillman of Beechwood, NB occurred on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Hotel Dieu Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth Andover, NB.
Eldon was born in Upper Kent, NB on March 15, 1941, and was the son of the late Stephen and Maude (Thompkins) Hillman.
He was also predeceased by 12 siblings, Ferne, Florence, Etta, Nellie, Pearl, Charles, Alice, Anna, Willard, Margaret, Murray and Avis.

Eldon is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Marilyn; 2 sons, Frank Hillman (Victoria) and Kirk Hillman (Tina); 3 grandchildren, Sydney Broad (Roderick), Zachary Hilman and Nigel Hillman; 2 great grandchildren, Braxton and Jonah; 1 sister, Charlotte Koenke as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Eldon joined McCain Foods in 1959 and spent the next 39 years of his career working as an Industrial Electrician.
Upon retirement in 1998, he began his next full time job; babysitting his granddaughter. There were many hours spent in the dirt, in the snow, and his favorite, a campfire in the woods.

Eldon was also blessed with two grandsons whom he loved to spend time with fixing small motors, giving advice (whether they wanted to hear it or not), and teaching the ways of the world. If there was ever a question, Eldon was the man with an answer.

In the garage he exhibited the unique ability to troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical device, which he did for many grateful friends and family.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Carter Kennedy and the compassionate staff on the palliative care team at Hotel Dieu Saint Joseph Hospital in Perth-Andover.

A family graveside service will be held in the Wharton Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Beechwood Baptist Church, or the Wharton Cemetery would be appreciated.
