Earl Allen DeLong
September 15, 1955 - February 27, 2025
It is with much sadness and broken hearts, that we announce the sudden death of Earl Allen DeLong of Lower Woodstock, on Thursday February 27, 2025, at the URVH at the age of 69.
Earl was born in Woodstock, NB on Sept 15, 1955, to the late Wendell and Shirley DeLong.
Earl is survived by sisters, Glenna Monteith, Wanda House, Darlene (Brock) Polchies, Shelley (Kevin) Cluff, best friend and brother Wayne (Beth) Delong, and his chosen sister Wanda. 9 Nephews and 8 Nieces, 8 great nephews and 13 great nieces, along with several aunts, uncles and many special cousins.
Earl loved his family, and family was everything to him, he loved his siblings, and was very close to them all, he was a special uncle and great uncle to all nieces and nephews, and he loved them all dearly.
Earl traveled the Atlantic provinces with his business, meeting many people and he considered them all friends, and enjoyed every minute of it. Earl truly had the gift of gab and would stop everything for a good conversation and a good belly laugh. Earl had the ability to draw the best out of people, they opened up to him easily. He truly had the gift to connect with people.
In his younger years he loved fishing and hunting and spending quality time with his friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB on Saturday March 8th, 2025, at 12 to 1 pm. The Rev. Dale MacDonald will lead a memorial service in the Chapel at 1 pm.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 pm at the Woodstock Wesleyan Church, 340 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville. Nb.
In Lui of flowers a donation can be made to Charleston Cemetery or a donation of your choice.
