  Obituary; Shirley M. Carten 1944-2022 Shirley Marie Carten of Hartland passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born February 8, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Priscilla Boyer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy (David) Trecartin, Angeline Hathaway and Kay Foster. Shirley is survived by her children, Douglas (Judy) Carten of Woodstock, Kenneth (Christina Davidson) Carten of Pole Hill, William (Louise) Carten of Lansdowne, Dorothy Carten of Fredericton; grandchildren, Becky, Shawn, Matthew, Heather, Darrel, Shania, Asia, Crystal, Dakota, Jordan, Allain, Brittany, Bradley; several great grandchildren; siblings, Ken Boyer of Pole Hill, James (Joyce) Boyer of Pole Hill, Kay (Doug) Grant of Watson Settlement, Bernice Trecartin of East Brighton, Juanita (Lester) Sprague of Somerville, Murray (Carolyn) DeMerchant of East Brighton, Connie (Dave) McDonald of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews.
