Frances I. Avery
1931-2023
It's with heavy hearts and great sadness Frances Idella Avery of Knowlesville passed peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Knowlesville May 25, 2023.
She was born January 6, 1931, and was the daughter of late Cecil and Idella Giberson.
Mom was a hard working very talented lady. She loved making quilts, crafting, painting, playing guitar, singing, yodeling, gardening, square dancing, camping and traveling. She was a member of the Knowlesville Women's Institute.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hazen Avery, sisters, Verna (Ray) Derrah, Flora (Otto) Farstad, Lottie (John) McConaghy, Jack (Edith) Giberson, Madeline (Dean) Paget, brothers-in-law, Ermond Billings, Monte Shaw, Frederick Trecartin and grandson, Trevor Doherty.
Frances is survived by her children; Joyce Doherty (Keith) of Southampton, Glen Avery (Krista) of Bubartown, Gaynell Avery of Centerville, Donna Avery (Sam) of Gordonsville.
Grandchildern; Rhonda Pelkey (Jeffrey) of Perth, Troy Doherty of Woodstock, David Avery (Kari) Kamloops, BC, Amanda Avery of Hartland, Sabrina Dyer (Gord) of Centerville, Mark Dyer (Nessa) of Jacksonville, Chris Avery of Calgary AB, Kyle Guthrie of Edmonton AB, Tyson Guthrie (Erica) of Riverview.
Great grandchildren; Chad Delong, Adam Delong, Breanna Delong, Lucas Avery, Eli Avery, Zachery Brennan, Tristan Downey, Autumn Downey, MacKenzie Dyer, Anthony Dyer, Neely Duran, Keara Guthrie, Emily Avery, Jemma Kasokeo, Kayana Kasokeo, Adrianna Smith.
Great Great Grandchildren; Hazen Delong, Grady Delong.
Three sisters; Thelma Billings of Cloverdale, Mary Trecartin of Hartland, Helen Shaw of Simonds, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street Hartland, NB, on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from noon to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2:30 with Pastor Murray Whitehouse officiating.
The interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery Gilmore Road, Esdraelon.
If so desired, donations can be made to the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Following the interment, there will be a reception at the Glassville Hall.
We want to express a huge thank you to Roseanne Goodine, Extra Mural Palliative Care Nurses, Fredericton Palliative Care Doctors team, Kindred Care workers Susan Shaw and Shelly Whitehouse, neighbours, and family members for all the visits, love and support over the last three months.
Mom is now rejoicing with her Lord and Saviour. When mom was happy about something she gave a signature "woohoo"!!
