      Victor W. Beattie
      Born, October 23, 1925 - Inveruie, Scotland

      Slipped quietly away from this life on November 26, 2015 with his family by his side at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB.

      Victor is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara (Green); Daughters, Vicki (Gary) Keenan of Woodstock, Cathy (Harold) Oakes of Centreville, Nancy (Mark) Keenan of Mactaquac and Barbie (Robert) McIntosh of Gordonsville; Grandchildren, Anthony (Jodi) Keenan, Amanda (Derek) Neill, Courtney (Courtenay) Keenan, Jared (Jackie) Oakes, Janelle (Justin) McGrath, Angela (Bill) Taylor, Timothy (Melanie) Keenan and Mallory (Eli) McIntosh; Great-Grandchildren, Avery, Shelby, Aubrie, Maysen, Max, Kiele, Kade, Michael and Andrew; Sisters, Dorothy Maskell, Connie and Leslie Lawrence, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Peters, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.

      He was predeceased by his Mother, Violet Smith and Father, Alexander Beattie; Sisters, Annabell Smith, Violet Lovely, and infant sister, Margaret; Brother, Malcolm Beattie; Brothers-in-law, Earl Smith, David Lovely, Floyd Maskell and James Peters and Sister-in-law, Esther Beattie.

      Victor's passion was always working in the woods and the outdoors plus gardening, going to his camp, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed taking Barb and his girls camping. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling and love of music. He enjoyed the Saturday night dances with friends and endless bus tours.

      Victor's family would like to express and extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to his caregiver, Carrie Kinney as well as to the exceptional staff of the Upper River Valley Hospital for the wonderful care during his stay there, and a special thank you to Dr. Clay Marco for the endless compassionate care shown to Victor.

      Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mary Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's United Cemetery, Centreville.
      For those who wish, donations made to Extra Mural, St. Paul's United Church or donor's choice would be appreciated.
