      Charles R. Kelley
      1953-2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Rennie Kelley announce his peaceful passing on January 5, 2023, at the age of 69 years. Born January 28, 1953, he was the son of the late Norah and Walter Kelley of Juniper, NB.

Charles is survived and loved by his wife of 41 years, Megan (nee Thompson), their sons, of whom he was most proud, Christian Kelley (Amanda) and Ethan Kelley along with cherished granddaughter, Norah Kelley. He also leaves to mourn a devoted sister, Sheena Kelley, a beloved niece, Maggie Kelley and her children, two brothers-in-law, Andrew (Sharon) Thompson, Paul Thompson and mother-in-law, Kaye Thompson as well as several cousins.

Charles spent his entire career in the woods industry. His work ethic was unequaled. He loved the solitude provided by nature yet enjoyed an appreciative audience for a good story. He was a keen historian, loyal friend, and lover of rock music.
      He will be missed.

Honouring Charles’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation nor funeral service.

Charles’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the angels of Extra Mural, Upper River Valley Hospital Oncology Unit and Dr. Colin Lockhart for their exceptional care and compassion. The family also appreciates the incredible support of friends, especially during the last year.

If you wish to make a donation in memory of Charles, please consider Extra Mural, Nature Trust of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor's choice.
