      Jacqueline H. Petley
      1929-2025

      The death of Jacqueline Helen Petley occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock. Jacqueline was born October 7, 1929, in Florenceville and was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Melville) Ebbett. She was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas Petley; her children, Duane and Carla Petley; son-in-law, Darrell Caldwell as well as 5 siblings.

      Jackie is survived by her 5 children, Dolores Petley (Daniel), Caroline DeMerchant (Terry), Noriene Caldwell, Janice Corey (Ross) and Daniel Petley (Sheila); daughter-in-law, Valerie Petley; son-in-law, Syl Amos; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Barbara Ebbett as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

      Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 1-3 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm from the chapel. A private family interment will be held in the United Church Community Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society, ALS Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
