      Glenn W. Tompkins
      1952-2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Glenn Weldon Tompkins, "AKA Skinny". Glenn was born May 21, 1952, and was the son of Guy Tompkins and the late Georgina Tompkins. He is also predeceased by a sister, Joanne Ellis; brother, Lloyd Tompkins; step-mother, Betsy Tompkins.

Glenn is survived by his father, Guy Tompkins of Mount Pleasant; siblings, Larry Tompkins (Lois) of Rockland, Faye Miller of Trenton, ON, David Tompkins of Bannon, Joyce Reid of St Stephen, Sally Shaw (Brian) of Oakland, Carol Acheson of Saint John; sister-in-law, Daphene Tompkins of Hartland; nieces and nephews.

Glenn was a collector of all things. He loved a good auction; buying and selling brought him great joy. Glenn would say, "everything is worth something". Anyone who bartered with Glenn experienced his passion and determination to not budge an inch

He loved a coffee and a good thick piece of homemade pie. Homemade pizza and red hot dogs were favorites. His prize possessions were his 4-wheeler and tractor. You would see him daily driving them. He never lacked an innovative idea and, when it struck him, nothing could get in his way until he executed it.

Glenn will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbours.

The family is planning a gathering at the Mount Pleasant Hall on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. You are invited to join them to remember Glenn as you share a cup of coffee and a dessert together. There will be a private burial in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland, NB. www.brittonfh.ca. 506-375-4343
