  Obituary: The death of Letha Mae Gaunce of Upper Kent occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Letha was born in Simonds, NB on August 27, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Earle and Gladys (Underhill) Ebbett. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charles; daughter in law, Linda Gaunce; 6 siblings, Harry, Claude, Hazen, Audrey, Nina and Wendell. Letha is survived by her 4 children, Gerry McBain (Don) of Picton, ON, Allen Gaunce (Cathy) of Orleans, ON, Jeff Gaunce (Patty) of Bristol, NB and Robyn Oakes (Jeff) of Upper Kent, NB; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Gaunce, Sarah McBain (Billy), Zachary Gaunce, Damon Gaunce (Sheena), Elizabeth McBain (Aaron), Crystal Kent (Tom), James McBain (Robyn), Kathleen Patterson (Ted), Elaina Oakes, Cody Oakes (Kayla), Blake Oakes (Ella); 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister Alice Cogswell as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Letha's family would like to give a special thanks to Betty Cahill and Kathy Ruff for the wonderful care they have provided for their mom. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Brian Wortman will officiate. The interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery.
