    • Death Notice:

      The death of Marguerite M. DeLong occurred at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland, NB, on February 17, 2002. Born January 13, 1924 to the late Ethel (Cook) and Harley Shaw in Mainstream. Marguerite was the wife of the late Clinton C. DeLong. She was a longtime resident of Hartland and a member of the United Baptist Church. Marguerite was predeceased by a son, Grayson, brother Hazen (Goldina) Shaw and sister Myrna (Norman) Prosser. She is survived by a daughter Janet (Joe) Olmstead of Fredericton, Gene DeLong of Hartland, Peter (Karen) DeLong of Fredericton, Garth (Janet) DeLong of Sarnia, Ontario, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, one sister Winnifred (Lauriston) Lawrence of Hartland, nieces and nephews. Resting at Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland, with visiting hours on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral service on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hartland United Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hartland United Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
