- Obituary:
It is with deep sadness, that the family of Ernest H. Lloyd, announce his unexpected passing on October 2, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville at the age of 77.
He was a father, stepfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
He was predeceased by his wife; Marie Shaw, parents; Annabelle and Wendell, sisters; Gloria and Donna.
He leaves to mourn his son; Chad, along with his partner; Jamie Guest. Four stepchildren; Karen, Allan, Melanie and Blake.
Ernest worked many jobs through the years, but finished his working life at; McCain Foods, in Florenceville-Bristol. He cared for Marie during her life-ending battle with cancer, for which his family was eternally grateful! He was a man of steadfast character and kindness.
He would arrive at your door with a thoughtful gift of bread, sweets, flowers, or a bowl of soup. He loved to get out of the house and was always up for a trip to Fredericton. Even a trip to his barber, bank, or groceries brought him pleasure.
He excelled at growing plants, flowers, and bushes. He was blessed with the proverbial; "green thumb."
He loved his music nights and tried to attend as many as possible. His had a great passion for dancing; in years past. That was one of the things he and Marie loved to do.
He loved his many dogs and had more than a few in his life. They brought him much joy.
He will be missed by so many and remembered fondly for his very presence; in his family and friend's lives.
A graveside service will be held at a later date, in the Larlee Creek Cemetery.
If you would like to make a donation to the charity of your choice in Ernest's name; that would be appreciated .
