    • Obituary:

It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Joseph McKimm Jr., aka Hal announces his death which occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Hal was born November 7, 1958 in Bath and was the son of Harold McKimm Sr. and the late Jessie(Banks).

Hal is survived by his son, Scott McKimm (Whitney); his father, Harold; 5 siblings, Debbie Tribe (David), Lori Canam (Vance), Danny McKimm (Debbie), Mark McKimm and Sharon Denny; 2 brothers in law, Brent Ebbett (Gayle) and Kirk Ebbett (Valerie); as well as many nieces, and nephews, and chosen family, Jeremy Saulis (Lacey).

Hal’s lengthy career as a professional sales representative for the building industry lead him to travel all over the province where he created bonds and relationships that have lasted a lifetime and beyond.

Hal enjoyed the wheeler trips with friends and family and was always up for a trip to Mount Vance/George.

Hal loved his nieces and nephews whole heartily and would often show up at one or another’s family home every Sunday morning delivering Timbits to get the kids wound up for the day.

For those that knew Hal, knew what a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan he was!

Hal’s highlight of the year would be the last day of hunting season when he gathered up Montreal Canadians Memorabilia and practiced his shot…

He also enjoyed the turkey suppers that "Big D" would cook during hunting season.

Hal led a very simple life, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Hal's family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Colin Lockhart, Dr. Anan, Angela and the Oncology staff at the Upper River Valley Hospital also the nursing staff of 2 North at the Upper River Valley Hospital, for the care given to Hal. A heartfelt thank you to Jeff and Mary Doherty for always being there and going above and beyond.

Respecting Hal's wishes there will be no formal services. Donations made to the Bath Lions Medical Travel Fund, or the River Valley Cancer Support Group would be appreciated.
