- Obituary:
Lewis Paul Harrington, 86, of Woodstock passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his residence. Paul was born in Woodstock NB on August 26, 1932 son of the late James and Elva (Turner) Harrington.
Paul is survived by his four daughters who were his pride and joy. Kelly Graham (David), Simonds, Kathy Slipp (John), Elwood, Karen McAdam (Dan), Royalton, Kimberly Stiles (Sherman), Oakland, eight grandchildren; Nicole Lidstone (Robert), Moncton, Angela Harrington, Fredericton, Elizabeth McNally, Rockland, Tyler Slipp, Elmwood, Aaron McAdam, Royalton, Brandy McAdam (Rye Whiskey as her grandfather called her), Royalton, Blake McNally (Jessica), Hartland, Joshua McAdam, Royalton, three great grandchildren, John Stockford, Madison McNally, Chloe McNally, sister, Sandra Montgomery, Williamsburg, sister in law, Kathleen Havas Harrington, Red Bridge, many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents James and Elva, Paul was predeceased by a son, Kevin Harrington, longtime companion Eunice Sherwood, brothers, John Harrington, Bernard and a sister, Gertrude Chase.
Paul retired in 1998 from Keenan Foundations where he had been Labourer for at least 20 years. He was a life member of the Kin Club of Canada and an associate member of the Woodstock Legion. Paul’s favorite hobbies were bingo, playing cards at the Woodstock Legion and occasionally bending his elbow.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 12 to 2 PM. Funeral service for Paul will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to River Valley Cancer Support Group or to DunRoamin Stray and Rescue.
