      Joseph (Joe) DeMerchant
      January 26th, 1972 - August 13th, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph (Joe) DeMerchant announce his passing in Grand Prarie, Alberta at the age of 52.

Born in Bath, NB Joe was the youngest child of George W. and Dorothy F. DeMerchant (Parsons). Joe is survived by his 7 siblings, Frances, Sandra, Donna, David, Denise, Darren, Jerry, and Wendy and his fur baby Milo. He is predeceased by his parents as well as siblings, Georgie, Gerald, Jean, Dianne, and Linda, as well as several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law.

Joe is fondly remembered for his love of animals, especially Cain and Milo as well as his caring nature among his friends and family both in New Brunswick and Alberta.

Joe had a passion for the outdoors and spent many quality nights in the camper by the lake with Milo and friends. In his younger years Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews and camping trips on the wheelers.

Above all else, Joe loved his fur-buddy Milo more than anything else. They were often found together going for drives or cooking up another fabulous feast. Joe was an amazing cook and loved nothing more than enjoying a meal with close friends. His co-workers remember him for his delicious pies and treats he’d bring to the office.

Special thank you to the Bear Creek Funeral Home and Kathy Richardson for taking Milo to live out his days in the same luxury Joe provided. Joe will no doubt be waiting for Milo to join him when the time comes to cross the rainbow bridge.

Joe will be laid to rest with a private service and internment in Holmesville NB.
