Shirley Theresa Murray

The death of Shirley Theresa Murray of Woodstock, wife of the late Gerald A. Murray, occurred on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Woodstock, she was a daughter of Theresa (Dempsey) McLaughlin and the late David Gray. In addition to her mother, Shirley is survived by two daughters, Ann DeMerchant and Brenda Murray, both of Barrie, Ontario; three sons, John of Barrie, Ontario, Peter and Bruce, both of Woodstock; sisters Margaret DeMerchant of Belleville and Mary Collicott of Canterbury; brothers David Gray of Green Road and Gerald Gray of British Columbia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, David; and two brothers, Nelson Gray and John Arthur Gray. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Captain Mae Wells will be officiating, with interment in the Chapman Cemetery, Maxwell, at a later date.
