      Robert "Bob" McIver
      1947-2024

Robert “Bob” Brian McIver, 77, of Glassville, NB, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at his home.

Bob was born August 12, 1947, in McAdam, NB, the oldest child of Fremont “Pete” and Helen (Herron) McIver.

Bob graduated from McAdam High School in 1966, and was drafted into the US Army that fall, serving from 1966-1968 as an engineer in the Vietnam Era. In his younger years, Bob was known as a force to be reckoned with, especially for a young ball player staring down his devastating curve ball.

Survived by his 3 children, Heidi Middleton (Joe) of Edmonton AB, Tony McIver (Wendy) of Harvey NB, and Cherielyn Savoie of Saint John NB; 7 grandchildren, Zachariah, Joshua, Lana, Brayden, Haley, Chantelle, and Blair; 10 great grandchildren, Brooke, Brady, Kenneth, Lincoln, Everlina, Addelyn, Sophie, Mya, Macy, and Major; 2 sisters, Mary Stinson (Dale), Pasty Rouch (Gerry); 1 brother Dale McIver; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his common law spouse, Sophia Mongrain; granddaughter, Holly Montgomery; 1 brother, William “Bill” McIver, and an infant sister Helen.

Respecting Bob’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A private committal service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
