      Nancy Hanson
      1969-2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Nancy Hanson, our angel. She was surrounded by her family when she went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Nancy loved God, her Bible, her family, and her Blue Jay's. Nancy was born October 11, 1969, in Grand Falls, NB and was the daughter of Mary (Baker) Hanson and the late Leonard Hanson. Nancy was also predeceased by 4 brothers in law, Bill Burtt, Keith Williams, Joseph Saulis and David Nye.

She was such an inspiration to everyone that knew her because she looked at life differently than most of us. She loved to plan family dinners, paying attention to every item that was on the menu. She knew everyone's birthday in the entire family, but most important were hers and moms.

Blue was her favorite colour, and she was surrounded by it. She was so excited when Pepsi coloured their pop blue for a short time. It was the little things that brought her joy. Speaking of "joy", that was her favorite word. She diligently went through the pages of her Bible and circled every time she saw ‘J-O-Y’. That's quite an accomplishment, and one that she tasked herself with, taking the job very seriously.

Nancy loved to laugh, and her hugs were amazing. She was the joy the world needed; and still needs today. It will not be the same without her. She will be forever missed.

Special thanks to Heather and Tasha for Nancy's homecare and also Extramural and Upper River Valley Hospital.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Mary, 12 siblings, Claudeen Burtt (Greg Underhill), Norah Saulis, Debra O’Donnell (Robert), Linda Ballentin (Paul Brochu), Robert Hanson (Shelley), Lisa Sherwin (Blair), Susan Nye, Sandra Crawford (Kenneth), Darlene Williams-Perkins (Duane), Paul Hanson (Pattie), Scott Hanson (Patty); chosen brother, Tom Diamond (Dede) as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Juniper United Pentecostal Church on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Everett Munn will officiate. The interment will be in the Knowlesville Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made in Nancy’s memory to Special Olympics Canada would be appreciated.
