      Patricia "Patty" Pickard
      1936-2024

Patricia "Patty" (Sullivan) Pickard of Piercemont passed away on February 29, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, in Waterville, NB. She was born December 26, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Myles and Bridget “Rose” Sullivan. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Peter Pickard; sons Kevin, Hubert and Neil; daughter-in-law Cindy; brothers Larry, Gerald, Joe, Terry and sister-in-law Catherine Sullivan.

Patty is survived by her daughter Charmagne Brooks (Robert); sons Peter Pickard (Nancy), Brian Pickard (Yvonne), Robert Pickard (Kim), Don Pickard (Shirley), Mark Pickard, Keith Pickard, Tom Pickard and Shawn Pickard (Sandra), brothers Paul Sullivan and Daniel Sullivan; sisters Maureen (John) Sullivan of Marlboro MA, Marney (Charles) Corcoran; sisters-in-law, Monique Sullivan and Mary Cecelia Sullivan; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mom preferred a quiet stay at home life on the farm while raising 12 children. She looked forward to calls and visits from family. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, doing puzzles, and working on her many "Search a Word" books, while watching her favorite tv programs or listening to country classics music. She also enjoyed entertaining family with singing and playing songs on the piano from ear. Although she did not have the means to attend high school, she went to night school to obtain her G.E.D. Diploma while raising a family, which was something she longed to accomplish. She was a member of the CWL for many years and enjoyed getting caught up with the ladies while carving up turkeys during the annual picnic and harvest suppers.

A heartfelt ‘thank you’ from the family to the staff at both the River View Manor, Bath, NB and Upper River Valley Hospital for providing exceptional care to mom.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 2 to 5 p.m. at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Road, Bristol-Florenceville, NB. The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 147 Church St., Bath, NB, with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Burial to take place at Saint John The Evangelist Catholic Church lower cemetery, Johnville, NB at a future date.
