    • Obituary:

      The passing of Lorne Foster, husband of Almeda Foster (Tait) occurred on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Lorne was born on September 3, 1925 at Hartland to the late Jess and Mary Ann (Cook) Foster. Lorne worked as a school bus driver and later on Gondola Point Ferry, retiring as an operator. Besides his loving wife of 43 years Almeda, Lorne is survived by three daughters: Lauralee Elson (Derrick) of Shilo, MB, Maryann Foster of Saint John and Brendalee Foster of Quispamsis; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Douglas, Angela, Morgan, Lauren, Jessie, Daniel, Olivia and Sydney and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7 - 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 1 PM. Interment will take place in Kingston Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
