      Delores E. Broad
      1940-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delores E. Broad on May 18, 2024. Delores was born February 22, 1940, in Medford to the late Lewis and Edna (Lennon) Watson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Kevin Broad; brothers William (Billy), John and Byron (Busty) Watson; and son-in-law Scot Birnie.

She was a loving mother to her daughters Karen Birnie and Karla Deweyert (Ted); dearly loved by her grandchildren John, David, Claire and Anne (Ryan); and lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Delores called Juniper her home for almost 60 years. She lived her remaining years in Bristol where she cherished her new neighbours and friends. Delores made her career in the offices of McCain, Flemming and Gibson, Juniper Lumber and Woodstock Transport. Her roles expanded from stenographer to accounting. She loved learning and took courses, enhancing herself professionally and personally.

Delores gave countless volunteer hours to our local Schools, the annual Music Festival, the United Church and the Upper River Valley Hospital. Her devotion to family, church and community was exemplary. Her warm smile, hugs, hospitality, and easy conversation drew people in. She loved people of all ages and stages. She found something interesting in everyone she met. Delores had many interests and hobbies; cake decorating, photography, flower gardening and arranging, home decorating, and all things fashion. She tackled everything with style, grace and charm. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 1:00-3:00pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00pm in the L.R. Giberson Chapel. Rev. Susan Estabrooks will officiate.
