Notes - Obituary:
JORDAN, GOLDIE LEVINA The death of Goldie Levina Jordan of Fredericton, wife of the late Cecil Jordan, occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Millville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Crawford) Hayes. Goldie enjoyed reading the Bible, and looking at the flowers in her garden in the summertime. She was Pentecostal by faith, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Goldie is survived by her son, Orick Hayes of Fredericton; grandchildren Marvin Hayes, Orick Hayes Jr., Edward Hayes, Allen Hayes, Sally Costain, Mary Leighton, and Rosalee Hayes; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Goldie was predeceased by brothers Albert, Bill, Hanford, and Jess; and by a sister, Iva Good. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Bragdon will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in the Maplewood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Pine Grove Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
