  Obituary: The death of James Lewis Broad of East Coldstream occurred on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home. Born June 11, 1938 in Beechwood he was the son of the late Howard and Ellen (Kinney) Broad. He was also predeceased by his wife, Leota; 6 siblings, Raymond, Earl, Sherdon "June", Garnett, Ervine "Spank" and Phillip. James is survived by his 3 sons, Leonard (Susan), Lewis (Penny) and Owen (Marilyn); 7 grandchildren, Jessica Shaw (Travis), Melvin Broad, Ashley Broad, Kevin Broad (Jessica), Brandon Broad (Kelsey), Dylan Broad and Nathan Broad; 10 great grandchildren, Ava, Taeyln, Ryan, Landon, Colton, Bryson, Riley, Cameron, Jordan and Brayden; 5 siblings, Fred Broad (Brenda), Claude Broad (Betty), Donald Broad (Eileen), Shirley DeMerchant (Blake) and Berlin Broad (Arlene) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Kent Mackay will officiate. The interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Coldstream.
