Obituary:
The sudden death of Mrs. Charles Gee took place at her home in Summerfield, April 8. She was taken ill on Friday morning and passed peacefully away on Sunday in her 57th year. The deceased was the daughter of Perez and Martha Smith of Summerfield. She was a member of the Methodist church since early girlhood and was much loved by all who knew her. Loving hands and medical skill could be done but to no avail. She leaves to mourn their sad loss, her sorrowing husband and eight children, two sons Merrill and Manzer and six daughters, Mrs. Howard Antworth, Mrs. Lee Thomas of Greggsettlement, Mrs. Russel Green, Summerfield, Mrs. Lewis Lawrecne and Mrs. Alvin Hayden, Knoxford and Clara at home. Fifteen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brown and Mrs. Simmon Lunn, Lowell Mass., three brothers, James and William, Summerfield, Charles of Riverside, Calif. The funeral service was held at the Summerfield Methodist Church on Tuesday at 2 o'clock by the Pastor Rev. D R Chowen. Interment was made in the Summerfield Cemetery before the service.
