  Obituary: Martha M. Kinney 1929-2025 The death of Martha Maxine Kinney of Holmesville occurred on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the River View Manor, Bath. Martha was born August 24, 1929, in Piercemont and was the daughter of the late Howard and Melissa (Broad) DeMerchant. She was also predeceased by her husband, Elwin; son in law, William; 7 siblings, Rose, Lewis, Ronald, Murray, Carol, Patsy and Wilma. Martha is survived by her 3 children, Gary Kinney (Joan), Wavel Kinney (Geraldine) and Charlotte Barrett; 5 grandchildren, Sherri Lilly (Brian), Kevin Kinney, Robert Woodman, Jennifer Cahill (Jason)and John Kinney (Terah); 8 great grandchildren, Brett (Jo Anna), Brady, Emma (Nicholas), Kiera (Kyle), Melissa, Hailey, Alex and Alissa; 3 great great grandchildren, Bryce, Summer and George; 3 siblings, Joyce Wallace, Herb DeMerchant and Myrtle Boyd (Joe) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 12-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in the chapel. Rev. Toben Steeves will officiate. The interment will be in the Mineral Cemetery.
