• Notes

  Obituary: Funeral services for the late Allison M. Shaw, 88, were held Oct. 20 with prayers at the home at 2 p.m. and service at the Advent Christian Church, Middle Simonds, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Morley Shaw officiating. The text was taken from Rev. 22:12-17, favorite verses of the deceased. Hymns sung by the Junior Choir were "Going Down The Valley", "I'll Awaken in the Morning". Mrs. Morley Shaw was pianist. Pallbearers were eight grandchildren: Peter and Paul Brooks, Allison and Merrill Underhill, Arthur and Clifton Shaw, Stanley and Richard Shaw. Besides his wife, 13 children survive: 8 daughters and 5 sons. All were present at the funeral. They are: Mrs. Grace Rideout, Toronto; Mrs. Mildred Brooks, Juniper; Mrs. Helen Underhill, Simonds; Mrs. Alice Long, Somerville; Mrs. Margaret Monroe, Bear Pt., N.S.; Eleanor, Lenox, Mass.; Mrs. Mary Taylor, Montreal; Annie Mae, Kingston, Ont.; Carvel and Austin, Simonds; Edward, Framingham, Mass.; John, Fredericton; David, Simonds, and 40 grandchildren; 5 great, great grandchildren. One brother, Harley, Simonds, and one sister, Mrs. Byron (Lulu) Raymond, Robinson, Maine., also survive. Burial was made in Middle Simonds Cemetery.
