John Stanley Bubar, age 88, of Upper Brighton, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland. He was born in Upper Brighton, NB on June 18, 1926, and was the son of the late William and Blanche (Derrah) Bubar. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn (Jordan) Bubar; brother, Paul Bubar (Shirley); sisters, Ena Melvin (Lloyd), Ruth Phillips (John) and half-brother James Frank Bubar.
John is survived by his wife, Winona(Rideout)(Lindsay)Bubar; sons, William (Terry) Bubar of Upper Brighton, Charles Bubar of Fredericton, Harold (Daphne) Bubar of Saint John, Duane (Kimberly) of Upper Brighton; daughter, Susan (Richard) Boone of Hartland; grandchildren, Beth-Ann (Peter) Johnston of Saint John, Julie (Rob Henry) Bubar of Saint John, Scott (Kerry) Bubar of Woods Harbour, NS, Sarah (Chad) Fyke of LaCrete, Alberta, Stephen Bubar of Saint John, Amanda Boone of Woodstock, George Boone of Hartland, Katherine “Katie” Bubar of Upper Brighton, John A. Bubar of Upper Brighton, great grandchildren, Aiden, Will, Marley, Paige, Spencer; stepchildren, Theresa, Wendy, Clarence, Michael, Beth, Timothy.
Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Sunday, January 11th from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel in Hartland with Pastor Doug Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Upper Brighton Cemetery.. If so desired donations can be made to the Upper Brighton Free Will Baptist church, The Central Carleton Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor’s choosing. www.brittonfh.ca
