    • Obituary:

The unexpected death of Beverley Anne Tompkins of Juniper occurred on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born February 2, 1953 in Toronto, ON she was the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice (Lane) Eckensviller and wife of the late Mancel Tompkins. Beverley was also predeceased by 1 brother, Robert "Bob" Eckensviller.

A Torontonian at heart, Beverley adjusted easily to country life. She filled several positions at Juniper Lumber over 20 years and absolutely loved working in the gate house. She enjoyed getting to know the truckers who went across “her scale,” and genuinely loved to learn about them, their families and their lives. Mancel said they could never go to town without someone stopping them to chat with Bev. Family and friends really meant the world to her and she would go out of her way to call, visit, and take care of her loved ones. She sent many heartfelt cards, remembering special occasions even when the recipient might have forgotten.

Beverley is survived by her 2 daughters, Theresa Green (Wayne) and Bonnie Tompkins (Dan Malleck); 2 granddaughters, Hayley and Sydney Green; 1 brother, Paul Eckensviller (Karen); 3 nieces, Brandie, Jennifer and Shannon; 1 nephew, Derek.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 11- 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm from the chapel. For those who wish the funeral service will be live streamed on the L.R. Giberson Facebook page at 1:30 pm. The interment will follow in the Biggar Ridge Cemetery with a light lunch at the Juniper Community Centre. Donations made to the Juniper Community Centre or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca (506)
