    • Obituary:

      It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Maxwell Cyril Biggar on Saturday, March 24th, 2012. Born 1932 in North Ridge, NB he was the son of the late Edward and Doris (Guthrie) Biggar. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Marsha Ann Biggar and brothers Doug and John (Jack) Biggar. Maxwell served in the peace corp. and worked as a log hauler for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved his Tim Horton’s coffee as well as scratch tickets.

      Maxwell is survived by his long-time companion and friend Norma Carr; loving daughters Stella Getchell (Keith) of Saint John, Meredith Biggar (Terry) of Saint John, Kari Buck (David) of Edmonton, AB, Brenda Biggar of Ontario, Beverly Brant (Dwight) of Ontario, Roxy DeMerchant of St. Stephen and Maxine O’Donnell (Joseph) of Bath, NB; sons Cyril Biggar (June) of Juniper, NB, and Edward Biggar (Sam) of Ontario; sisters Elsie Briggs of Hartland, NB, Sadie Reeleder of Greenfield, NB, Stella Pelkey of North Bay, ON; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friend Norma McCutcheon.

      Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, March 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Biggar Ridge Church, Rte. 107 on Thursday, March 29th, 2012 at 3 p.m. followed by an interment at Biggar Ridge Cemetery. Donations in memory of Maxwell made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
