- Obituary:
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lyman Biggar which occurred on Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Biggar Ridge, NB on July 6th, 1925, he was the son of the late Clifford and Ruth (Galbraith) Biggar.
Lyman was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy (2009); his daughter Victoria (at the age of 9) and his sister, Norma Gardiner.
Lyman was employed as a manager with VERSA Foods at St. Thomas University and the Forest Ranger School until his retirement in 1989.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Campbell of Fredericton, Lynn Currie (Alan) of New Maryland and one son, Lyman Biggar (Janet) of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Sean Campbell of Dartmouth, NS, Mark Biggar of Durham Bridge and Victoria Biggar of Fredericton and one great-grandson, Lochlan Lyman Biggar.
Resting at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home in the J.A. McAdam Chapel on Friday, June 20th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. For those who wish, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
